Member of NICAP. Max travels the country in an Airstream trailer filled with books, alien paraphernalia and a powerful radio scanning device. Frequent alien abductee, he is abducted in each of the incidents that Mulder and Scully are involved in 1993 and 1997. Suffers from epilepsy and possibly other neurological deficits, Max seems highly intelligent and sensitive as well as a possible danger to himself. Max is of average height in relation to Mulder, he had long red hair and a beard, and wears glasses. Max was probably an alternative rock music fan. Max died in 1997 on flight 549 in a plane crash, Fenig had gotten a job at Rocky Flats Environmental Energy in Colorado where he allegedly secured fissile Plutonium, although there's evidence it was alien technology. 1x21 Born Again A detective in Buffalo, NY, resident of Kenmore, NY, and husband of Anita Fiore. Nine years after the murder of his partner, Charlie Morris, Fiore's part in Morris' death begins to surface. Along with two other cops, Leon Felder and Rudy Barbala, Fiore covered up the truth about their plot to steal over $2 million in drug money, which resulted in Morris' death when he refused to go along with them. After Morris' death, Fiore looked after Charlie's widow, Anita, and later married her. Fiore is the only member of the foursome left alive to stand trial. He pleads guilty to first degree murder after the fact, grand larceny, and obstruction of justice. He is around 5-foot-8 with receding brown hair and is in his early 30s. Bellefleur

The handicapped janitor at the Mahan Washington Institute of Technology. When the remains of one of the aeronautical scientists on staff are found after he'd been sucked through the fan blades of a wind tunnel, it is discovered that Roland was the only one present at the time. On questioning, he denies having seen anyone else around at the time of the incident. The FBI agents are not without leads, however; Mulder astutely realizes that someone else left a clue--mathematical equations on a whiteboard in handwriting that doesn't match that of anyone's who had been working there that night. Further follow-up questioning of Roland reveals that though he's mentally delayed in some areas, has a remarkable aptitude for math, suffers nightmares that prompt irrational, uncontrollable behavior in him, and eventually, that he has a twin brother who turns out to be Dr. Arthur Grable, the most brilliant of the aeronautical scientists at the Institute working on the Icarus project. A man who is driven into a violent streak, during the Franklin, Pennsylvania incidents of 1994. A postal worker who has lost his job, he is 52, with no high school diploma, an ex-navy radio worker, and his wife died ten years earlier. He has a severe phobia of blood (hematophobia), and this fear triggers his violent reactions. He has been exposed to a chemical, LSDM, that attempts to act as a pheromone, triggering a fear response in various subjects. The triggers were electro-encephalitic messages, conducted by unknown corporate or government assailants. Funsch buys a rifle. En route to the Franklin Community Medical Center, he heads to a community college, which is sponsoring the Franklin Blood Drive, and begins to fire on the public from a clock tower until Agent Mulder restrains him. The Mission Control Communications Commander for the Space Shuttle Program, based at Houston, Michelle Generoo had a vested interest in the safe launch and return of the latest shuttle because it was being captained by her fiancé. This was one of her main reasons for approaching Mulder and Scully with her initial suspicions of sabotage towards the Space Program. As it transpires, Generoo's suspicions were correct, though she little suspected that her boss, Lieutenant Colonel Marcus Aurelius Belt, was the culprit, a man possessed by some kind of astral entity, whose intent was to stop mankind from venturing too far or too often into space. She is extremely skeptical of the Indian legends surrounding her brother's death, until she witnesses a manitou attack for herself. She and her brother are responsible for initiating a lawsuit with Jim Parker over property boundaries. After Jim and his son Lyle are killed, ending the land dispute, Gwen gives away her belongings and leaves the reservation. She is in her 30s, around 5-foot-9 with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. Goodensnake, Joe
1x18 Shapes Brother of Gwen Goodensnake, of the Trego Indian Reservation near Browning, Montana. He is fatally shot by Jim Goodensnake after attacking his son Lyle in what initially seems like an animal attack. As suggested by the Indian legend of the manitou, Joe has become one of these creatures, either by lineage or due to a previous attack. By night, he transforms into the manitou and was responsible for attacking Lyle Parker. Native American customs prevent Joe's body from being autopsied, so he is ceremonially burned. 2x11 Excelsis Dei The medical doctor whom attends to the patients at the Excelsis Dei convalescent home, during the Worcester, Massachusetts incidents of 1994. While well intended, and trying to comfort the patients who have been suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, he conducts an eleven-month trial of experimental treatments with Depranil, a drug for Alzheimer treatments that is an enzyme inhibitor that increases the amount of acetylcholine in the brain. The doctor is unaware of the treatments that the orderly Gung Bituen is issuing of herbal pills made of mushrooms that trigger psychic connections to spirits. The doctor mistakenly assumes that the Depranil has triggered cognitive abilities beyond what has been publicly known about Depranil, and that the patients are making rapid recoveries from their conditions. But the recoveries might be a bi-product of Gung's herbal pills. The doctor is replaced by the state at the resolution of the incidents. Estimated to be in his early forties, dark brown hair, dark eyes, average height, slender.
Graves, Howard
1x05 Shadows Howard Graves was the founder of HTG Industrial Technologies, a company that had American Military defense contracts for technology. Mr. Graves was born in 1940, March 4th and was murdered in October, 5th 1993 under the arrangement of his partner, Robert Dorlund. His death was believed by local authorities to have been a suicide until the truth was uncovered by his secretary, Lauren Kyte, Agents Mulder and Scully and the CIA. Mr. Graves was divorced and lost his three-year-old daughter, Sarah Lynn Graves, in an accidental pool drowning in 1969. HTG Industrial Technologies had run into financial trouble and Mr. Graves had agreed to his partner, Mr Dorlund's arrangement to sell restricted parts to The Isfahan. The Isfahan was an Islamic organization that turned out to be responsible for terrorism and the bombing and murder of solders in Florida. Mr. Graves was about to cancel the business deal with the terrorist and go to the authorities when he was murdered. Mr. Graves was 53 at the time of his de ath, he had dark thinning hair and was known to be associated with a number of important people. His company, HTG technologies, had raised two hundred thousand dollars in local charities the prior year. It's estimated that his Military contracts began in 1973.

1x11 Fire Phoebe Green is a Scotland Yard detective and former classmate of Agent Fox Mulder's. They first met when they were students at Oxford University. They clearly enjoyed a vigorous relationship, which including a flirtatious tryst on top of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tombstone. When a case leads her to the US, Green takes up the opportunity to visit Mulder, with the possible chance of rekindling their affair. As a former close acquaintance of his, she is well aware that Mulder has a debilitating fear of fire. It is evident Green has very adept social and sexual skills and knows how to play men --she is able to win the FBI's arson specialist, Agent Beatty, over to her side almost immediately. Her chance to reconnect with Mulder arising from a kiss in the lobby of the Boston hotel is rudely interrupted when a fire breaks out on an upper floor, endangering the Marsden boys who are under Green's protection. This incident makes the Marsden family determined to return to England, so Green is compelled to do the same. Soon after, Mulder discovers Green has been conducting an affair with her charge, Sir Malcolm Marsden. Then when she disappears back to England on completion of the case, without calling Mulder to say goodbye, he notes that this is typically characteristic of her. 1x17 Miracle Man Reverend Hartley runs the Miracle Ministry in Kenwood Tennessee, at which his adopted son, Samuel, is the star attraction as an apparently miraculous healer. Hartley is in his early fifties, of average height, and balding. He wears a white suit with a loud tie, and drives a white Cadillac. Hartley is assisted in running the Ministry by Leonard Vance, a man Samuel resurrected from death after a horrific car accident. Hartley is a great showman, exciting the crowds who attend services at the Ministry and putting on a good show even when Samuel, who loses his faith in his abilities following the deaths of several people he has tried to heal, disappears.

1x17 Miracle Man Samuel is a young man who believes himself to be in possession of the power to heal human suffering. He is fair-haired with a faint moustache and blue eyes, and wears a lot of gold jewellery. Deeply religious, he is the star attraction of Reverend Calvin Hartley's Miracle Ministry in Kenwood Tennessee. Samuel was adopted by the Reverend at a young age, although exactly where he came from is not known; the Reverend claims to have found him as an infant lying in the weeds on the banks of the Mississippi.

1x07 Ice A medical doctor who joins the survey team that investigates the incident at Icy Cape, Alaska that concerns a government ice core research project. Apparently, an associate of Dr. DaSilva, Hodge will come to mistakenly only trust Dr. DaSilva. He is highly cynical of the reasons why the government has sent them to investigate the Icy Cape base. He is above average in height, probably six feet tall, with brown, thinning curly hair and dark eyes.

1x17 Miracle Man Margaret Hohman is a deeply religious young woman in her early twenties, with pale colouring, who is permanently disabled with Multiple Sclerosis. She goes with her parents to Reverend Calvin Hartley's Miracle Ministry in the hope that Samuel Hartley will be able to heal her. Instead, she dies as a result of cyanogen bromide poisoning while Samuel is praying with her. The poison was administered by Leonard Vance, a man attempting to exact revenge on Samuel. Mulder and Scully convince Margaret's father to permit an autopsy on Margaret. None of Vance's other victims had autopsies and consequently he has not already been caught. When Scully finds traces of cyanogen bromide in Margaret's body, she and Mulder are able to trace the purchase of the poison to Leonard Vance. Lizzie

1x17 Miracle Man Mr Hohman is a tall, slim balding man in his late fifties. He attends Reverend Calvin Hartley's Miracle Ministry with his wife and disabled daughter, Margaret, in the hope that Margaret will be healed by Samuel Hartley. Instead, Margaret dies while Samuel is praying with her. Mulder and Scully try to persuade Mr Hohman and his wife to allow an autopsy on their daughter. They are initially reluctant, especially because representatives of the Miracle Ministry have told them that they should not desecrate their daughter's body with a post-mortem. Eventually, though, Mr Hohman tells Scully she can go ahead with the autopsy. As a result, Margaret's cause of death is determined and her killer, Leonard Vance, revealed. Lizzie

1x19 Darkness Falls The head of security for the logging company, Schiff-Immergut, Steve Humphreys is a gruff, cynical, older man who is all to ready to draw assumptions based on little evidence. He becomes a victim of the phosphorescent mite attacks in the Olympic National Forests of Northwestern Washington State in 1994. Presumably, he requested the FBI's involvement in the investigations into the disappearance of the Schiff-Immergut logging workers as well as the two federal officials who had also disappeared. Humphreys' obvious hatred of Eco-Environmentalists such as Doug Spinney and Steven Teague compels him to accuse Spinney and his friends of not only sabotage-based vandalism, but murder. Furthermore, Humphreys scorns Spinney's story of the phosphorescent mites, regarding it as nothing more than a tall tale. He leaves the group to go back to Ranger Moore's disabled truck to radio in for assistance. He is attacked by the mites and cocooned inside the ranger's truck. He is an ol der man, around his early sixties, with dark gray hair and blue eyes, he is estimated to be 6 feet in height and probably close to 200 pounds in weight.
